Innovative therapies

Advanced gene and cell therapies are one of the pillars of personalized medicine. CAR-T cell therapy is a clear example. It allows immune system cells to be altered in the laboratory to find and destroy the cancer cells of individual patients. Its enormous potential has led the Xunta de Galicia to set up a center for the production of advanced cell therapies.

Through Precisaúde, the priority is to develop this kind of drugs for different types of cancers and immune and degenerative diseases that still lack treatment.

In addition, the plan includes the development of IT solutions for the integrated management of the complex process of producing drugs linked to these therapies.
